COVID-19: Bentley supplies 30,000 3D-printed face shields to local community

The automotive manufacture has not been spared by the coronavirus crisis, which has halted manufacturing and put a stop on product. But this has not deterred carmakers such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and Jaguar Land Rover from contributing to COVID-nineteen relief.

The latest to bring together the fray is British automobile manufacturer Bentley, which has switched gears from vehicle production to manufacturing and delivering 30,000 face shields to the local community in Cheshire, United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland, where its headquarters are located.

The 3D face-shields are being created by Bentley'south specialist applied science teams, using their engineering expertise and 3D-printing facilities. Fully manufactured at Bentley'south manufactory in Crewe, the face up shields will be supplied to the Cheshire intendance sector, which includes 95 intendance homes, the National Health Service (NHS) and other local community services.

In add-on, Bentley is donating a range of urgently needed personal protective equipment (PPE) items to local health services.
